Early Years Outdoor Practitioners – Bank Staff

Kinder Croft are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate and nature loving practitioners to join our Bank Staff and support the delivery of Early Years Outdoor Education for our local community.

Our Bank Staff practitioners are highly valued members of our team. Your role will be to provide cover, on an occasional basis, for our permanent staff team during times of sickness, absence and holidays.

This post would be ideal for someone wanting to build up experience of working in a unique Early Years setting and develop their skills and training. Or equally, you may be an experienced practitioner looking to pick up occasional work and widen your experience.

Person specification:

To contribute to a nurturing, safe and child – centred learning environment, for children aged 3 – 7 (3 – 14 duringHoliday Clubs).

To work as part of a small dedicated team in the daily running of the nursery.

Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or equivalent. Or be willing to work towards this.

Understand the demands and benefits of working outdoors, in an active role, in all weathers.

You will need access to transport to reach the nursery site at Leckmelm, 3 miles south of Ullapool.

All staff are required to undergo PVG Disclosure Checks.

We will provide opportunities for training that is relevant to working in an outdoor, play based setting.

Rate – £12 p/h – hours variable
