Riverside Cottage Nursery in Blackburn, West Lothian is looking for a warm, reflective and
enthusiastic Outdoor Nursery Practitioner to join our small friendly team.

We’re an outdoor-based, child-led nursery where children are encouraged to be curious,
capable and connected—to each other, to the land, and to their own rhythms of learning.
Whether it’s climbing logs, building dens, or sitting quietly watching the birds, we believe every
moment outdoors is full of possibility.
We’re a bit different to your average setting as we are very lucky to have so much outdoor space
to explore—we value respect, creativity and gentle relationships. And we’re looking for
someone who shares those values and wants to grow with us.

What we’re looking for:
A qualified practitioner (SVQ Level 3 or HNC in Childhood Practice)
Someone who truly enjoys being outdoors in all weathers and seasons
A calm, open-minded and nurturing presence
A team player who believes in slowing down and following the child’s lead

30 hours per week (flexible across Monday to Friday)
