As Outdoor & Nature Based Learning Lead, Carolyn supports the Thrive Outdoors portfolios and the wider outdoor play & learning sector in communities, early years settings and schools. 

Carolyn develops and delivers Outdoor & Nature Based Learning training and professional development programmes. 

She brings 20 years of teaching experience working in early and primary settings. Most of that time was spent supporting and developing outdoor play and learning.  

In her role with Thrive Outdoors, she sees good quality outdoor spaces as essential assets for every community.  Outdoor learning and play in formal and informal settings is the right of every child. Outdoor play and learning supports healthy child development and promotes good mental health in children, young people and adults.
